A new Executive Director has been chosen to lead the Young Marines Alumni Association. Bill Davis, CEO of the Young Marines, has chosen Alumnus Jason Asbill to direct the Alumni Association in its next steps.
Asbill was a Young Marine from 1995-2004. After completing high school and retiring as a Young Marine, he went on to higher education and ultimately earned his law degree. Asbill is a practicing attorney in the New Orleans area, where he lives with his wife and two young children. Also after retiring, Asbill served as a Young Marines intern, adult volunteer as a T.O. and XO in Louisiana and Arkansas, and would eventually chair the Alumni Association Advisory Council.
Jason is excited write the next chapters for the Alumni Association. “One of the foci of the Young Marines mission is to create ‘responsible citizens,’” Asbill says. “While we may know that the program is developing good people, there’s been no tracking of alumni to back up that claim.”
So, be sure to stay tuned to the Alumni Facebook Page. We have some BIG NEWS coming out NEXT WEEK that Jason does not want you to miss!
